TOPIC: Using the Ukiverse

Using the Ukiverse 7 Months, 2 Weeks ago Karma: 2
At registration we ask for some address info like your postcode. this is so you appear on The Ukiverse. It is a google map that shows where all our registered members are.

We thing this is useful for several reasons but here are two:
1) It shows how international this festival is!
Ukers from all over the world are interested in our festival and we are faltered and thankful. Also if your planning a trip or Uke Safari it helps to see where fellow ukers are all over the world might make that trip that little bit more interesting meeting up with fellow ukers.

2) It may also be useful in finding other ukers near you. Sometimes, especially if your new to the scene, you don't know where your nearest club is or ukers are. We hope that you can find ukers near you and look at their uke buddies and see where they jam or gig etc...

We will add more features to the map as well go along like Uke friendly pubs where you can start your own jam session or gig. If we have time we'll upload uke shops as well so you know where you can get quality ukes from. We even may get time to add luthiers so if you want your uke fixed or want something special custom built you can get that too.

We suggest you at least put your post code or beginning part of the post code as 100s of people with London or any other city kind of dilutes it. If you add city please add the country as some places around the world have the same name. However we fully understand that it is private information and so leave it to your discretion. Please only add information you are comfortable with.

We hope you enjoy using "The Ukiverse"

Thank You

I love the Ukiverse, it's like there's a big Uke satellite flying over the Ukulele world.
