On each day ...
The Basic workshop starts at noon, and the intermediate one starts at 3pm


The workshops are not repeats - each one covers different material.

a bit more about the workshops

Basic
For players who have been playing for about 3 or 4 months. They will already know 10 chords, and can change chords fluidly.
* Learn how to play at least 3 songs from the book. As part of learning the song, recognising structures and patterns, and how they can be applied to other music.
* Understanding strumming patterns, and how they have been written down.
* Getting to grips with the melody, where to start and when to stop.

Intermediate
For players who have been playing for longer than 6 months. They will already know at least 20 chords, including some barre chords. They have experience of playing music in different strumming styles, eg Latin American, waltz, swing or reggae.
* Learn how to play at least 3 songs from the book. As part of learning the song, recognising structures and patterns, and how they can be applied to other music.
* Playing intros, and using more complex rhythm patterns. Changing time and key signatures in a song.
* Understanding altered and slashed chords. Transposing to match your vocal range.
